Certified Organic

As organic farmers and producers at The Grey Barn, we follow the strict sustainable farming practices outlined by USDA organic certification to deliver the healthiest food we can. We use no synthetic fertilizers, no growth hormones, no GMOs, no herbicides, and no pesticides. It’s important to us that our land, our animals and our products give back to the community and environment, not take away from them. Being certified organic ensures that we don’t take any shortcuts with our food and our animals.

From the soil-up, organic practice guides and informs every aspect of what we do with our land. We have seventy-five acres of dedicated pasture for our dairy herd and ten acres of woodland devoted to our pigs. The farm teems with life; not just our animals, but all the birds, butterflies, wildflowers and grasses that make the farm their home.

We work with Baystate Organic Certifiers to ensure our organic practice. If you’re interested in organic certification, be sure to visit their website for great resources on organic foods open to the general public.
